This is the artist's concept of digital data breaking through the hole in a computer firewall. The ideas within the artwork are -
The firewall as represented by the brick wall
The initial 'hole' in the firewall in the upper right
The chaos and violence that can be caused by such a security breach as represented by the overall splatter effect
The orderly but different data packets as shown by the semi-regularity
The scattering of discreet data bits as illustrated by discreet pixel data points throughout the artwork.

Even without those insightful tidbits, the concept as presented gets the point across quite well. I love the combination of the regular patterns and the splattered appearance; it looks very dynamic and the two different styles work well together!

"Rings, Hoops & Circles"
This art might remind you of rings, or Hula Hoops or circles or whatever else your imagination comes up with, as it goes around and around.

The larger rings have sets of grooves running lengthwise, and the smaller rings appear smoother. These make for a lot of detail in the artwork. There is a little moiré effect on the tops of some of the medium sized rings, which your monitor isn't showing at this scale. They are an artifact of the digital computations and processing, and are an integral part of the artwork.

"Warhol's View"

This montage brings to mind Andy Warhol and some of his famous images, like those of Marilyn Monroe where he repeated her photograph in different colors.

The images bring thoughts of someone peering at us from beyond - from another dimension. Specifically Warhol himself. Or maybe they represent possibilities of what we would see if we were able to view another's face in another dimension. What is your perspective?

Unlike Warhol's art, these images take root in three dimensions. Each image is a representation of the same 3D model, but with the coloration applied differently. The 4 models in the corners are not flipped. They are the same model from the same viewing perspective, but the coloration in each quadrant in each picture has been moved.

Each of the nine artworks is also a little stereographic. If you cross your eyes slightly when viewing them and bring the image's "eyes" together, you can see a slight 3D effect. It's not really intended to be viewed that way, it's just an artifact of the image. But it changes the perspective of the viewer, from that of masks looking out, to that of you looking in.

The 2" Metropolitan Black frame, which has a raised 1/2" gold inner edge and a subtle red accent line along the outer ridge, lends a very nice emphasis to the bright colors and pulls the component parts of the artwork together.

"Cat's Eye Pottery"This art is composed entirely of little objects like clay pots that have been turned upside down. They were arranged in a spherical shape, and the then front of the sphere was clipped away revealing the design in the interior.

"Room with a View"
This artwork has an interesting perspective, both literally and figuratively. The walls of the 'exploded room' have twists and contortions as if they have been ripped apart, and the colors follow the ridges and valleys of the individual pieces and the artwork as a whole. Yet despite the flowing appearance, the individual pieces are in place and in order and the scene, although not quite serene or restful, is also not violent or jarring.

The sky partially mirrors the movement of the room, with the lower part peaceful and quiet, but the upper part swirling in a circle similar to the ceiling of the room, as if responsible for the contortions of the room.

Without the movement the artwork would be boring, but with it the art has interest and flow. The yellows, blues and golds work well together and the whole piece is both unique and interesting.

"Fractured Interlude"

This piece has more going on than is apparent at first glance.

The central core, appearing somewhat like a fractured and discombobulated shield, with a warped hole in the center, is surrounded by a 'broken' frame in each of the four corners. The two are separate three dimensional objects, and if 'un-distorted' and 'reassembled' the frame would be one piece, and the central object another.

The intricate reflections that play across the metallic-like surfaces are interesting and pleasing and hint at unseen objects.

The blue background is also far more intricate than realized at a casual glance. Examination of the center reveals a small starburst of radiant color. An intricate web is woven through the background as if representing a warped space-time continuum, or a complicated graphic plot. The blue is deeper and more intense in the center, and fades into the farther corners.

All together, as the eye wanders across the complex yet simple surfaces, it senses an order out of the chaos, and despite the fractured appearance, the perusal becomes a relaxing interlude.

My version of the Hopi prophecy. Created in Corel Paint Shop Pro. Mixed-media art. Direct mouse drawing, photograph of a real Arizonan sky ran through a plug-in for the special shade.

Original created in PSP. Blend of direct-mouse-drawing, photograph and various external plug-ins applied to selected areas. A stained-glass looking butterfly rising with hope toward a better world. The scenery is reminiscent of stage-decors. There are a few details that you have to look for, example: the gathering cut-out shadows on the left branch. A painter on the upper-left and the Queen-of-hearts on the upper right! All looking toward the pink hearts above and starry new destination.***One of my pieces selected for the "10th Annual Collage Digital and Mixed Media International Online Juried Art Exhibitions" 2008. By June 01, Rising Dawn will be part of the online exhibition. Thank you "Upstream People Gallery".

Mouse drawn in PSP. A plug-in was used for the knife-painting effect. Besides the meteors-shower, the glass-globe is protecting a magic-wand. A transparent butterfly is resting on a red chalice in front half hidden by dense fog. Uranus, Venus moon, strong tree holding tight in the ground. The lady is either meditating or channeling or even accepting her destiny! I'll let you decide! Fully original artwork.

Created entirely in PSP with a mouse. The organdy-wings fairy is resting, her magic-wand nearby. She is watching two element-spirits playing near the waters. A magic bird is pining stars on the sky!

Created in PSP with a mouse. A filter was used for the framing. A maiden sitting in a circle of lights is just being surprised by a small glowing fairy. Orbs are floating in the air, a black cat is watching the scene! Halloween night or just a magic night it was!

Entirely created with a mouse in PSP. A mermaid in long purple hair, sitting on enchanted sands, is watching her little starfish pet, crawling in her direction! A magic beach, somewhere near the ocean! A shell in front is giving birth to stars! All is softness and caring. You can also try other frames on all paintings!

Fairy is about to sit down and looks rather proud of her tiny world! All of her small little friends are in the picture. Very detailed image. This artwork is an original created in PSP with a mouse.

Finalist artwork in the Artrom Digitation 2006 Juried-Online international competition. A fantasy butterfly soaring to new heights. Stained-glass wings, a strange small creature is riding on one of his wings. Stage-like decors, stars. "Secret-Garden" was created with a blend of direct mouse-drawing, photograph of a butterfly and various external plug-ins including a polymerging filter. A magical world where unicorns are smaller than a thumb and butterflies have faces and stained-glass wings! Catch the faery at the bottom and the blue-bird holding a star on top! The "stuff" our dreams are made of! Above, a man's face is watching the small blue faery perching on top of a pink rose. The wings of a butterfly are decorated with semi-precious stones. Below, the half hidden face of a woman, perhaps the dreamer herself! Created in PS. Blend of original direct mouse-drawing, photograph of a butterfly, various external plug-ins. Each stone was recolored and polished with the mouse for the final shine!

The mermaid is originally from another mouse-drawn digital painting of mine. This time she has a cute pet-snail looking at a little fish and a few pearls decorating some daisies or floating around. This was achieved with a polymerging filter, mouse-drawing and one photograph of a blue cosmos flower. The final outcome reminded me of the bottom of an aquarium! Paper-like effect on the flowers. Foil-like colors, bubbles. Use of additional external plug-ins. A fun result!

Casting a mood of mystery, a lady-elf is hiding behind the strong wing of a unique butterfly. This Elf is trying to catch fairies with a shiny lore! She knows it is a good time, twilight and moon crescent rising. She is not mean, she just loves to see fairies glow in the dark. By the next norning they will be released, unharmed! Digital artwork created in PSP, combining direct mouse-drawing with a photograph and various external plug-ins.

Original digital design. Blend of direct mouse-drawing and plug-ins. The butterfly has different meanings to different people. From re-incarnation, transformation, rebirth, to a simple desire for greater freedom. Don't miss the little Fire-Fairy, bottom right!

A fantasy place of course, the pink stream above the moon (or planet)could signify love, a few black hearts floating nearby! In front 2 pink candles and a cat watching the beauty in this moonstruck butterfly, rising in all its glory!Created in PSP. Blend of direct mouse-drawing, picture of a butterfly, a polymerging filter and various plug-ins applied to specific areas of the image. All gems on the butterfly were polished with a mouse and buffed to a shine!

Created in Corel Paint Shop Pro. The lady is mouse-drawn. There is a tiny Unicorn in the drop of light on the left! Enjoy the peace and tranquility! :-)

This artwork was second finalist in the European "Effects of Light" in the "Art Periscope" Juried-competition in 2006. Created in PSP. "Lady and Gift" was a finalist in the European "Art Periscope" competition on the "Effects of Light" in 2006. Another creation in PSP. The lady is entirely mouse-drawn, she is wondering about this gift who just came to her! It is cute, pink in color, has little wings and just flew in followed by a trail of stars, fairies you know do not receive gifts the ordinary way :-). Blend of mouse-drawn art, photograph of a flower, polymerging filter and various plug-ins applied to selected areas of the image, découpage.

Cousin of "Secret Garden" butterfly, this one is celebrating the new year (I think!) amongst golden stars. He has a gold-filigree and precious rubies! Still that little creature with glowing hair sitting on one of his wings! Same process, blend of direct mouse-drawing, picture of a butterfly and various plug-ins applied to targeted areas. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Take me home! :-)

Faery in her own transparent world. All is peace and serenity, in touch witth nature. Elemental spirits are playing in the background. The moon is always full and stars hang on ribbons! Great artwork to relax with and meditate, try it, it works, so I was told! Created in PSP with a mouse.

These ladies could stand for: "Mind, Body and Soul! They are a blend of three of my original mouse-drawn digital paintings. I did use a polymerging plug-in filter for this result. A creature behind is holding a string of lights!

Original digital painting exclusively painted with a mouse! A fantasy capricorn-lady, sitting on an orange cloud, is reading her fortune! She is a little curious! A heart with wings, behind her, a venus moon above! A place in the cosmos.

A soulful digital collage in which pieces of old documents, religious icons, medieval scenes, gold crosses, medallions, the Vitruvian man, etc. do mix together. Some viewers might see in the center a shape resembling an old Gallion! The Mayflower? Pilgrims? Reuniting all beliefs under one flag? Carrying the past, present and future? I will let you decide! To each its own! It is a deeply felt piece.

Spring Equinox! Winter icycles slowly melting to give place to Spring blossoms. The magic bird with emerauld eyes, perched on a fruit-tree is watching the fairy in a green dress, coming his way. Symbolic? Perhaps! There is a huge drop hanging from a branch, right under the faery, could it be holding tears? We could imagine this faery flying to better skies, leaving behind her the cold days (of Winter) to the warmer ones of Spring! Created in PSP, I have used a plug-in for the oil-enulation effect.**Frames available here at ImageKind.

This is a place where magic flowers grow! Somewhere in time and space. This flower is unique and precious, its stem has the shape of a small fairy. The lady knows about the flower and is fascinated by her discovery! I don't think she will pick it as the finding alone might be enough! Created in PSP. The lady is mouse-drawn. I have played with a polymerging plugin for the flower effects. Virtual découpage with the mouse to chisel the decor and another external plugin for the variations in colors. Frames available. When you offer it as a gift, personalize and let the person know what prompted you to think of her/him.
