The clouds in this shot were just unreal. It had just finished raining on us on our way back down from Corona arch.

This is a HDR Image of the sunset taken from our campsite just outside of Moab, UT. My tent was just to the left of this shot :) . It is so beautiful there. My attempt with the HDR here was not to go crazy, but to use the HDR to capture the multiple levels of light without either washing out the photo with the sun or making the foreground too dark. I think it worked extremely well.

This is a shot taken at the top of Haggerman Pass, atop the Continental Divide. Hagerman Pass is located between Basalt, and Leadville, CO, high up in the Rocky Mountains.

It has been a little more rainy this year than years past in Moab and these purple wildflowers were growing all over the place. This shot was taken just off the side of Hwy 191 just south of Moab on our way back to our campsite.

I enjoy water reflections, so I couldn't miss the opportunity to take this one home. This is a river in a rural area of western MA. For those of you who are not familiar with western MA, we have a lot of beauty in our forests, parks and rivers here. This particular day the sun was especially helpful, and I was ready to capture it.

I was photographing Cranes Beach, in MA, and the sun was low in the sky. It was September and people were enjoying the sun and sand. I looked up at the blue sky through the dunes, and had to capture this!

Classic image of the beauty of marsh in Essex, MA. This is a long image capturing the historic house and all of th birds that like to sun themselves by or in the water. After a light sun shower, the reflection of the sky on the water was so blue. A beautiful view that one can enjoy time and time again.

The Summit House is located in Western Ma, Holyoke region. I was there one of the days after a brief summer sun shower. A family had appeared at the end of the porch, and they had had a discussion about the beauty of the mountains in the view. I was most impressed by the beauty of the porch and the light.

I was in Hadley ,MA, and the this scene appeared over a hill. The dandelions were starting to seed, and the yellow ones dotted the landscape over the green grass. I imagined only good things at the end of the road less traveled.

This image is one with great depth. I found myself lost in the day. The sun and the ocean in the distance, the clouds and the beautiful green sea grasses.

It was 6AM on Fathers Day. I had gone out to shoot a couple of rolls of film before dad got up. I grew up here, and this area reminded me of my dad going out to sail on his little turnabout sailboat. He loved that boat.

Rockport MA/ The Motif number #1 is one of the most photographed seascapes in the world today. The harbor at Rockport MA, is beautiful and full of activity. The schooner is moored in the harbor all summer, and available for sightseeing trips!

Western MA is known for it's tobacco barns. The tobacco plant is really huge and green and leafy.

After a storm over the Connecticut Valley, the reflection in the pool of water was a mirror image of the clouds.It was so beautiful I watched as the clouds passed over the green pasture and made more cloud reflections...

One morning, I awoke to a view that was like a fairytale.The mist was moving slowly across the pond, and I found myself in a dreamlike state. I ran down to the dock with my camera to capture it.

Of course, this is not a forest at all. It is, rather, a hardy ornamental kale struggling to embrace the sunshine and endure through cold winter days. When I saw this kale bursting with life, exploding its violet tones into the afternoon light, I had to look at it close up. That's when I saw magic in it: a bizarre yet beautiful forest of exotic foliage in alluring tones of green, auburn and violet. Take a close look at the enlarged image!

Occasionally we are presented with a particular view or glimpse of nature that seems to tap on the universal stream of human history, consciousness, and striving. A pristine day, abundant with sunshine and fresh air. Both the sky and water were the most gorgeous, sparkling hues of blue and the wind was calm. Everything felt right: a truly mellow and harmonious afternoon. This little girl romping through the water along the edge of Long Island Sound is feeling not only the coolness and refreshment of the water splashing her feet, but also the caress of the breeze and the warmth of a giving sun. Nothing excites me more than being in the forest. It's as if all the kinks in my brain relax and I'm able to think new thoughts while breathing in the grandeur of the universe. When I see such a clear and clean view, no litter or pollution apparent to the naked eye and the air sweet and pungent with the scent of pine, I wonder how the land looked 200 years ago, before the Industrial Revolution. I can not begin to imagine the sparkling natural beauty of the landscape. Imagine how much happier we would be if we were PART of this environment, cherishing, protecting, and enjoying it, instead of using it up for profit or simply moving THROUGH it at jet speed. This photo was taken in the fields outside North Conway, New Hampshire, on a steamy, late summer afternoon, on a short hike with my husband and daughter. The weather was unsettled, with another thunderstorm threatening, so we were hesitant to go too far from the car. The view of the sun's rays spilling from the ominous clouds was spectacular, and you could feel an explosive energy building in the air. Image c Lynda Lehmann.

I feel they must be as fascinated by the glimmer and colors of the rocks sparkling beneath the water*s rippling surface, as I am. Looking from the wetlands out to the open water of the Sound, I was taken by the weathered look and textural features of what was apparently once a dock. In this saltwater marsh, the holes where crabs had dug into the sand were everywhere. In here, sheltered from the breeze over the open water, we heard bountiful birdsong and saw a great variety of scrubby trees, including some varieties of pine I can't name, as well as flowering bushes. A bevy of seagulls called raucously over our heads as they made their way down the channel, following the last surge of receding tidal flow. Image c Lynda Lehmann.

Dragon lovers will enjoy this striking figure. Simple, yet elegant, "Guardian of the Patch" will grace your wall with dignity. This dragon was inspired by my young daughter's request for a "pumpkin dragon." Eventually, a full scene will depict this dragon curled around a pumpkin and observed by other denizens of the Patch.
