Today’s featured art is Rhino Ruminations by Edward Kinnally

This Rhino is such a fine interesting artwork that it was the overall winner of 1stAngel’s online 2008 Animal Art contest. It’s easy to see why it did so well.

It looks like an amazing amount of detail and intricate work has gone into creating a captivating image out of little blocks. It makes me think of mosaic work done with small tiles.

Congratulations Edward, and to the rest of the winners in 1stAngel’s in the Animal Art contest.

Oh my! What a beautiful photo of Snoqualmie Pass in the Cascade Mountains. Gold Creek Pond reflects evergreens and a distant snow covered mountain peak. The mountains, shades of green, blue sky, and reflection make a wonderful photographic print.

What can I say… This photo print really bugs me! It’s a close-up picture of a bugs head with it’s bug eyes and hairy bug face. We can’t forget the hairy fly legs. This type of photograph might not be everyone’s cup of tea… Tho, it is an outstanding macro photograph of an insect.

A nice cheerful Christmas holiday scene with a snowy roofed cabin set among snow covered evergreens. The starry sky, northern lights, and smoke rising from the chimney are a peaceful winter scene. What a wonderful print this is for the Christmas season!

A miniature horse noses through a layer of fresh snow looking for something, in this photo of a winter scene. The horse’s brown coat, white socks, long mane and forelocks stand out nicely from the muted white of the fresh snow. A very charming picture!
