Today’s featured art gallery is Water and Stone by Elandria of Tenerife.
Wow!!! When I saw this gallery I just had to feature it. The paintings of ocean waves hitting the shore are amazing. The colors and shapes jump right out and catch the eye.
The other works have wonderful composition and colors, making them very attractive. The flowers are lovely and the autumn colors make beautiful paintings.
I love finding artwork like this and adding the artist to my list favorites!

Mount Teide On Tenerife

Mount Teide on a very clear winter day on November 11, 2006. The photo was taken at an altitude of 2,200 meters (7,200 feet). Well above the cloud layer in the North of the island (right side on the photo). You also can see the neighbor island Las Palmas on the horizon in North-West direction.
Teide is the highest mountain on Spanish territory and the highest mountain of any Atlantic island with an elevation of 3,718 meters (12,198 feet) above sea level and approximately 7,500 meters (25,000 feet) above the adjacent sea bed. This makes Mount Teide the third highest mountain on any volcanic island.
Tenerife itself is the third largest volcanic island on Earth and recently United Nations Committee for Disaster Mitigation has designated Teide as one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world, because of its proximity to several major towns and the nearby city of Puerto de la Cruz.
That's where I have decided to live. At the bottom of the most dangerous volcano on Earth.
Volcanic Geology Of Canary Islands

This early experimental abstract digital piece of work portraits the vibes of living on a volcano like I do. The spectator is allowed to be carried away by an vibrant colors of the islands.
* Are there shock waves?
* Volcanic lakes somewhere in the crater?
* Is the Atlantic Ocean sucking it all in or spilling it out?
Most viewers agree that it looks like a dangerous place to be. But there is also some silence that can be felt after a while...
Each Island seems to float over the fine textured blue of the Atlantic Ocean.
