Cat in Flower Garden Art

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

Today’s featured art is Maine Coon Cat with Orchids by Carolyn McFann

A nice painting of a Maine Coon Cat laying among pretty orchid flowers in the garden. What a typical pose for a resting cat, with front legs curled under, alert eyes and ears, plus fluffy tail. I expect to see the tip of the tail twitching as the cat relaxes.

Prices for Maine Coon Cat with Orchids begin at $11.89, subject to change.

Pacific Northwest Artwork

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

Today’s featured art gallery is StudioByTheSound by Kathy Johnson.

Colorful artwork with landscapes, gardens, flowers, and vegetables. Wonderful scenes from the area of Seattle, Washington, and the Pacific Northwest.

As a gardener… I really enjoy the pretty flowers and garden plants, plus the veggies from Pike Place Market are a perfect complement to spring and thoughts of getting the garden started.

In early fall 2007 I went to Oklahoma to see gardens. It takes strong plants to thrive in Oklahoma sun, heat, and wind. The gardeners there combine art, horticulture, and whimsy in a wonderful way. Here are a few of the sights and gardens from my trip. Enjoy the charm of the West!
