How often do we see run down, weathered, or worn sights and not appreciate the beauty that’s in them? This black and white photo really captures the stark beauty that can be seen in such things. It takes a good eye and the imagination of a good photographer to capture it. And… Kristen has done that very well in this photo.

The bandstand seems to glow with light from dawn in this long exposure photo taken in a park at Kettering, Northamptonshire UK.

There’s a fantasy like aspect with the dark tree branches, leaves, and grass. I can imagine faries and nymphs dancing about in the shadows as the day breaks, hiding behind trees and popping out for a quick glimpse. What a party they must have been having all night long!

This golden butterfly on a bright, mostly green background really catches the eye.

Wish I could put my finger on what draws me to this art print… Is it the bright colors? The fading around the edges? Or… The impression of a circle with the butterfly popping out in the center? I’m not sure. It could be a combination of all of those things and more. Anyway… I like the effect created by the artist.
