This Rustic gallery contains images that bring to mind a time in the past. Though the photos that inspired these works are recent photographs, the images they represent are of old 'cowboy' fencing, cattle chutes, windmills, abandoned vehicles and the like.

All the Rustic images are available as ready-to-frame prints or can be purchased with a wide variety of framing, matting and glazing options. If you don't feel particularly creative, we've put together a suggested framing/matting combination for your convenience.

Enjoy! And thank you for considering our artwork.

Photos of nature including beautiful plants, scenes and animals. I love the natural beauty of the earth and enjoy capturing it with a photo. Plants full of color and layers and textures are also a favorite of mine. Occasionally I catch an animal in a photo.

A beautiful Blue Bunting is an unusual sight in Southern California. Several showed up in January of 2012 and stayed in our area for a few days.

Several coyote paw prints in the dried cracked mud of the Mojave desert. Looking around the area, it appeared a mother and at least one pup had crossed the riverbed before the mud had dried.

A dry riverbed was found while exploring off road in the Mojave Desert. The cracks between the dried mud averaged approximately 6 inches deep. A wonderful pattern created by nature.

Oh! I like the bright colors in this desert scene with brown adobe walls and brightly colored desert plants. Purple sage, Spanish broom, and the bright blue sky make a beautiful happy piece of artwork.

Desert Wheels by Jose Rodriguez

Today’s featured art is Desert Wheels by Jose Rodriguez

Two street rods race down a highway in desert country in this artwork. The artist has captured the work and detailing car buffs put into their automobiles.

One hot rod has a red paint job with yellow flames blowing back from the front… A sure indication of how fast that rod can go. The other hot rod has dark blue paint and a red grill. Both rods have the cropped tops and low windows. What a dream for many folks to own hot rods like these.

The desert colors in the background with the reds and browns and mesa bluffs really add the the image. What a great framed print this would be for a car buff.

Prices for prints of Desert Wheels begin at $21.23, subject to change.

Arizona Desert Windmill

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

Today’s featured art is Rustic Windmill by Jenice McQuarrie

A windmill sits in the Arizona desert in this digital artwork.

I can imagine it pumping water for some plucky rancher’s herd of cows. How hard to scrape out a living in a dry climate where water is scarce.

Prices for Rustic Windmill begin at $16.98, subject to change.

Nevada Desert Windmill Panorama

Saturday, May 24th, 2008

Today’s featured art is Windmill NV

A windmill sits next to a water tank in the Nevada desert region in this photo showing the desert southwest. It’s somewhat hard to imagine cattle surviving in such a dry region. The windmill and fences show that some ranchers are raising cattle in the area.

The blue sky and snow capped mountains in the background make a nice contrast to the brown sand and rust colored water tank. All in all, a very nice panorama.

Prices for Windmill NV begin at $79, subject to change.
