My dog (Raven) is having fun running in a snow covered hay field on a crisp December morning. She has her nose covered with snow from checking out fresh smells and is kicking up a puff of powdery snow with her legs.

Raven is a mix of German Shepherd, Norwegian Elkhound, and English setter. She lives on a small farm in north central Minnesota and enjoys running and exploring her farm.

This Holiday art, has a cat all dressed up in a red Santa suit complete with tasseled hat and a bag of gifts. He’s astride his trusty… Well… Reindeer, sorta. A dog with reindeer horns, a sadle , and holiday tack.

Today’s featured art is Dog on a Hay Bale 612 by Kent Lorentzen

My dog, Raven is sitting on a large round hay bale in a hay field. She’s a black dog who is a mix of German Shepherd, Norwegian Elkhound, and English Setter.

It’s been rare to get a good picture of her since she seldom stays still long enough to capture a good image of her.

This shot was taken early on a foggy morning when we went for a walk. I took the camera with hopes that the fog might make for some good views. Couldn’t believe it when Raven jumped up on the hay bale and sat there long enough to get several pictures of her.

I also found several dew covered spider webs and got some good pictures of them. They’ll be the subject of a post in the future.
