Today’s featured art is School Boy Writer’s Block by Leslie Nazarian: Lesruba Designs

A cute illustration of a school boy sitting at his desk, trying to think of what to write. Writing papers in school is so… Hard!

The red shirt, glasses, pencils, sheet of paper, and the boy’s expression make a fun illustration that captures the school days. I remember sitting just about like that, while trying to come up with something to write for the assignment. It was so easy to start day dreaming instead of concentrating on what to write.

What a fun illustration of a green caterpillar who just can’t wait to fly. He’s gotten up into the sky with a bunch of floating orange balloons. He smiles while floating in the bright blue sky. What a great piece of art this would be in a kid’s room. I can easily imagine a framed print hanging on the wall.

The shadings and colors in this artwork really caught my attention. It always amazes me when seeing art like this how the artist has made the art pop with the highlights and shading.

Dragon lovers will enjoy this striking figure. Simple, yet elegant, "Guardian of the Patch" will grace your wall with dignity. This dragon was inspired by my young daughter's request for a "pumpkin dragon." Eventually, a full scene will depict this dragon curled around a pumpkin and observed by other denizens of the Patch. [Done freehand in Photoshop using a Wacom Graphire4.]
