Here’s a close-up photo I took of a black bug on a wild rose blossom.
The bugs antennas made me think of the ‘Rabbit Ears’ antennas you used to see on old TVs, that’s how I came up with the title for the macro photograph.
Getting a good focus and composition of a critter like this while holding the camera and hoping the bug doesn’t move too much, or a gust of wind doesn’t come up, is always a challenge for me. I feel there is quite a bit of luck involved in snapping the picture at the right moment too.
I do like the detail in the focus on the bug and the softness of the rose caused by depth of field in the photograph.
