Today’s featured art is Windmill NV

A windmill sits next to a water tank in the Nevada desert region in this photo showing the desert southwest. It’s somewhat hard to imagine cattle surviving in such a dry region. The windmill and fences show that some ranchers are raising cattle in the area.

The blue sky and snow capped mountains in the background make a nice contrast to the brown sand and rust colored water tank. All in all, a very nice panorama.

Windmills in a blue sky sit on Santorini Island, Greece. What a beautiful sight from the Mediterranean.

I notice the thatched roofs and how the rotors are made differently from the windmills of Holland. The white towers and spoked rotors do draw the eye and make an interesting skyline.

An old windmill sits in a poppy field with red blooms, located in Brittany, France. Bluish white clouds and the yellow green of the poppy flowers nicely set off the windmill in this photo.

I don’t normally think of France when thinking of windmills, but I guess there are windmills all over the world. And… How interesting to see the differences in them. I notice the pointed roof compared to the ones from Holland.

Wow! What a great panorama from the Netherlands showing a windmill on the water front. The green fields, blue sky, and canal make a very lovely scene.

This windmill tower in front of a blue sky makes a pretty picture. The windmill is located in the Lincolnshire market town of Boston, UK.

I like to see the past preserved as it is in this working windmill. A good example of preserving our industrial heritage.
